Key Deliverables

  • Process and manage all accounting transactions
  • Ensure timely, complete and accurate billing to customers including applying of contractual increases
  • Responding to customer accounts queries and escalating these where necessary
  • Cash flow management – chasing outstanding debtors for payment
  • Ensure timely, complete and accurate payments to suppliers
  • Following up on outstanding supplier invoices
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Handle month end accounts closings including general ledger reconciliations on key accounts
  • Review of monthly accounts to identify issues
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Calculation of monthly sales commission due and agreeing these with sales staff
  • Prepare monthly payroll
  • Prepare and submit payroll returns
  • Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns
  • Assist with managing secretarial/ statutory return dates to ensure all required returns are submitted on time
  • Assist with requirements of annual company audits and annual financial statement preparation
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
  • Documenting accounts processes, policies and procedures
Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Computer skills, including advanced Excel skills and basic proficiency in Quickbooks desktop.

Education & Qualifications
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus

  • Knowledge of accounting systems and their impact on the business
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation
  • Knowledge of company policies, practices, processes and systems
  • Understanding of the business operating model
  • Expressed and implied ethical responsibilities
  • Work experience as an Accountant
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Experience with multi-currency advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
